Description
After a quiet stretch, the tropical Atlantic is increasingly active with Hurricane Gabrielle and a couple tropical waves moving across the tropical Atlantic.
Hurricane Gabrielle is about 210 miles southeast of Bermuda. Reports from NOAA and Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph, with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days, and Gabrielle is expected to become a major hurricane Monday night.
