Description
A death row inmate's fight to avoid execution is helping to reveal how Indiana carries out the death penalty.
State documents filed in court confirm Indiana uses pentobarbital and has paid $275,000 for a single dose. Documents also show what happens when the drug expires.
The documents were filed as part of Roy Lee Ward's attempt to avoid the death penalty for the rape and killing of a teenage girl.
