A mother is facing a preliminary neglect charge for her alleged role in the death of her toddler.
Shelbyville police officers responded to a report of an unresponsive child around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 in the 900 block of Hale Road, near Miller Avenue and Colescott Street.
