One person was killed and a Fort Wayne police officer was injured in a shooting Friday night in Allen County. According to Indiana State Police, an Allen County Sheriff's Department deputy noticed a vehicle that was parked in a suspicious area near Irving and Schwartz road around 8 p.m. That location is near the Interstate 469 exit to SR 37 northeast of Fort Wayne. When the officer approached the vehicle, he saw the person inside had a gun.
