Hoosiers are responding to the apparent assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Kirk was at a rally at Utah Valley University when a shot rang out. Social media video shows Kirk stagger and appear to collapse. Just before 5 p.m., a spokesperson for Kirk confirmed he had died. At 3:15 p.m., officials announced the suspect was in custody. Around 4:30 p.m. they announced they did not have the suspect in custody, but had detained someone else.
