IMPD is making changes to its vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection process starting Tuesday, Sept. 2. You used to be able to have an IMPD patrol officer conduct a VIN inspection while they were in the field. Now, VIN inspections will happen at a designated IMPD district headquarter location.
