Wednesday was homecoming day for 400 Indiana National Guard Troops. They landed in Indianapolis around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 after a nearly year long deployment to the Middle East as part of Operation Spartan Shield. Family and friends were there to greet them in a joyous homecoming. Gov. Mike Braun was also there, first meeting with families before the soldiers' plane arrived. The governor then got on the plane when it landed, greeting the troops and welcoming them home.
