Indiana State Police is investigating the death of the 10-year-old daughter of a Delaware County sheriff's deputy. The girl was found around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 in the 10000 block of East Jackson Street in Selma, Indiana, which is approximately 7 miles east of Muncie. The Delaware County Sheriff's Department confirmed they were conducting a death investigation, which was later turned over to state police. Delaware County Coroner Gavin Greene confirmed to 13News the girl who was found dead was the daughter of a Delaware County sheriff's deputy.
