Description
On Thursday, the Indianapolis City-County Council's Public Works Committee took a deep dive into the proposed 2026 budget for the Department of Public Works.
"This is really the number one part of our job is passing this budget," said Councilor Kristen Jones (D-District 18).
DPW plans its projects on a five-year cycle. The way things are shaping up right now, their five-year capital plan is around $1.2 billion, and they said they have big plans for that money.
