Democrats from Indiana making the trip to Chicago to meet with Democrats from Texas who left home to prevent a vote on a new congressional district map in their state.
“Let me tell my friends from Texas how glad I am to have you here,” said Rep. Ed DeLaney (D-District 86), standing in a park in West Chicago Wednesday afternoon. He was flanked by other Democratic state lawmakers, along with several Texas House Democrats listening.
