Description
A park on the near northeast side of Indianapolis is back open after a multi-million-dollar renovation.
City leaders gathered at Washington Park near 30th and Dearborn streets to unveil the new additions Wednesday. A ribbon cutting marked the completion of the $3.5 million project.
The renovated park includes a new main playground, splash pad and a new parking lot. The splash pad is expected to open soon after final water safety testing results come in.
City officials say it is just the latest project to improve parks across the city.
