The office of Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita on Monday asked the state supreme court to set a final execution date for the man who raped and murdered a 15-year-old girl in Indiana in 2001. The attorney general is asking the Indiana Supreme Court to make Roy Lee Ward's tentative Oct. 10 execution date a final date. The AG argues that Ward's attorneys have provided "no legally cognizable reason" to deny an execution date and that "all of his complaints are irrelevant."
