IMPD is investigating after a man was critically injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon on the east side of Indianapolis. According to IMPD, around 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 9, officers were called to the 3700 block of North Mitthoefer Road, which is near East 38th Street, on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say he was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
