Description
On The CineFiles, journalist Chris Hrapsky, entertainment reporter Jamie Rogers, and film critic Brian Eggert discuss two new releases and one contemporary classic:
THE LONG WALK arrives in theaters on 9/12 from Lionsgate. Based on Stephen King’s chilling novel and directed by Francis Lawrence (THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE), this dystopian tale is about a disturbing contest of endurance. Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, and Mark Hamill star.
THE HISTORY OF SOUND also arrives in theaters on 9/12 from MUBI. Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor star in this romantic period drama about two young men who set out to record American folk music in the early 1920s.
INTERVIEW: Jamie interviews THE HISTORY OF SOUND’s star Chris Cooper and director Oliver Hermanus.
CINEGIFT: Every episode, one of our hosts gives the gift of a great movie with a CineGift. This week, the group discusses Jamie’s CineGift, Josh and Benny Safdie’s GOOD TIME (2017). Watch to find out what movie Chris gives as his CineGift for next time. Follow along and join in the conversation in the comments!
