Description
A warm day is ahead for the Front Range, with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon. Areas of patchy dense fog are possible early over northern Colorado, before sunshine returns by midday.
As more tropical moisture makes its way to Colorado, winds will pick up across the plains. There will be the chance for isolated strong to severe storm activity late today, with hail and wind the main threats. Mostly areas will stay dry, but a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms extends across the entire i-25 corridor through tonight.
A cold front is set to arrive Thursday, bringing a better chance for precipitation and cooler temperatures.
Another round of accumulating mountain snow will be possible tonight into Thursday, with an unsettled pattern heading into the weekend over the high country. The metro area can expect highs in the 60s tomorrow, with scattered rain showers.
