One library system in Colorado is giving people the opportunity to read hundreds of banned books. Anythink Libraries in Adams County is publishing their "Freedom to Read" digital collection, which they say is the first of its kind in Colorado. It gives users access to nearly 500 books and documents that have been banned, challenged and restricted in the U.S. — from fiction books to the Constitution. The ALA's data shows 137 titles were challenged in Colorado last year. Executive Director Mark Fink says he's noticed a dramatic rise in challenges for titles offered in public and school libraries over the past five years, and this project is all about giving people access to information... and allowing them to form their own conclusions.
