Description
Faith leaders with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Denver metro area say the violence in Grand Blanc, Michigan Sunday was shocking, tragic and hard to understand.
Four people were killed and eight hurt when a gunman in a pickup truck smashed through the doors of a chapel during a service attended by hundreds, shot at attendees and set the building on fire. Two of the victims remain in critical condition.
"What happened in Michigan was really just an incredible tragedy and a mass act of violence that just was really stunning," said Justin Matthews, Stake President of the Aurora Colorado South Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
