A driver who deputies tried to stop for traffic violations near Loveland fled from authorities and drove south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25, striking multiple vehicles, said spokeswoman for the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. Deputies initially attempted to pull the driver over south of Loveland around 12:30 p.m. Monday. The spokeswoman said the driver "eluded" deputies and drove "recklessly" in the wrong direction on the interstate.
