Evergreen High School will have a full-time school resource officer when students return to class, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said. The move comes after two students were injured by a shooter who then fatally shot himself at the school on Wednesday. The 900-student school operated without a full-time SRO for months before the shooting, with the assigned SRO on medical leave and no full-time replacement stationed there.
