A man shot near an RTD station in Lakewood last week has died, and police say the suspect remains at large. The shooting happened on the evening of Aug. 27 near West 13th Avenue and Vance Street, behind the RTD Wadsworth light rail station. According to a Lakewood Police Department press release, officers arrived to find an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The suspect fled northbound on foot and is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, last seen wearing brown cargo shorts, a green sweatshirt, black shoes and black socks. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
