A man was shot and killed by a police officer in Aurora on Saturday night. The Aurora Police Department said it started at around 7:30 p.m., when an officer saw someone make a traffic violation and attempted to stop him at East 6th Avenue and Billings Street. Police said the man tried to drive away, but ended up crashing into two other cars. The officer then got out of his vehicle and ordered the man to show his hands and get out of his car.
