A man was shot by Denver officers Monday morning after officers responded to a report about a man pointing a gun at passing vehicles in the area of West Alameda Avenue and South Lipan Street, according to Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas. "What I understand at this moment is that at about 8:20 we received a call that a man was pointing a weapon at passing cars that were traveling west on Alameda," Thomas said.
