Like a head coaching candidate who takes their name out of the running after being told they were not going to get the job, The Salvation Army told Denver City Council members on Thursday that it would no longer manage three city shelters next year. However, the City of Denver confirmed on Thursday that The Salvation Army had submitted a proposal to continue operating the shelters next year. The city is still going through the process of deciding who will operate the shelters.
