The 3-year-old daughter of Burlington Police Chief Nathan Hill died after she was attacked by a law enforcement K-9 at the family’s home, according to the Kit Carson Sheriff's Office. Kit Carson Sheriff Travis Beldon said they found the child unresponsive in the backyard with her mother. The dog was not actively attacking upon arrival and was secure in a kennel, Beldon said.
