Crime, crumbling streets, and careers -- those are the top concerns for New Orleanians as the city prepares to elect its next mayor.
According to our exclusive WWL Louisiana Poll conducted by Faucheux Strategies:
-17% said crime and public safety is the #1 issue
-16% pointed to street repair and maintenance
-16% chose jobs and wages
-15% said affordable housing
A separate poll by Dr. Silas Lee & Associates found similar results, with voters demanding improvements in critical city services — from potholes and drainage to trash pickup and power reliability.
📊 Highlights:
-83% of voters are dissatisfied with the resilience of city services against severe weather
-92% said they’ve been affected by power outages
-75% said they’ve experienced flooding
