Description
One far-off tropical wave has a chance of development at the end of the upcoming week when it will be in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Dry air and a stable atmosphere will limit any organization for the next couple of days, but it has a shot at becoming a depression or storm late in the week. Computer models are conveniently curving this one over the Atlantic and keeping it at sea. It's too early to say for sure, but it doesn't look like this one will come anywhere near us. We continue with no threats for the Gulf Coast.
The mainly quiet spell in the Atlantic could last for another couple of weeks... or perhaps even longer. We will track everything closely as we are still in the most active month of hurricane season. We will keep you updated with anything new.
