The stage is set and the countdown is on: the WWL Louisiana Mayoral Debate is less than a week away.
In this behind-the-scenes look, WWL Louisiana’s Devin Bartolotta shows how our team has been preparing for months to host the top three candidates for New Orleans mayor: Helena Moreno, Royce Duplessis, and Oliver Thomas.
From meetings with stakeholders to community polling, the questions for this debate are built around what matters most to New Orleanians:
-Crime & public safety
-Infrastructure, flooding, and road construction
-Transportation and population loss
-Culture and community — from social aid and pleasure clubs to Black Masking Indians to street musicians
