Description
Firefighters battle a five-alarm fire at Gentilly Ridge Apartments Wednesday morning, near Chef Menteur Highway. Officials said Chef Menteur Highway will remain closed until the fire is out.
NOFD upgraded the fire to to five-alarm for more manpower to extinguish the flames. They said 28 units are on the scene with 88 fire personnel. It was reported under control around 9:46 a.m.
