Description
You've seen in our reports about the black, oily film on the cars and streets.
After hearing from the governor and environmental officials late Monday afternoon, we are still not clear what is in it.
The U.S. EPA has been on site and promises to clean up all the waste from the fire and dispose of it in environmentally proper ways.
They are using vacuums and building an earthen berm to contain the spill.
And the Louisiana DEQ is taking air samples and posting them in real time on its website.
Three days after the explosions and massive fires in Roseland, the governor and environmental officials from both the state and federal governments are saying there are no health concerns.
