Sizzling heat stays with us on Sunday and through the week ahead. High pressure will slowly drift away from us toward the Southwest US. This will keep us hot and humid with only a few spotty storms through the first half of the upcoming week. Temperatures will reach about 95 degrees with a heat index around 105 degrees. A weak trough of low pressure will sag toward us starting Thursday. This could help a few more storms to form in the afternoons and knock temperatures down by a few degrees for next weekend.
