Following the talks, Ukrainian negotiator Rustem Umerov said a new draft of the 28-point US peace plan, which initially heeded to some of Moscow's hardline demands, "already reflects most of Ukraine's key priorities". Umerov also thanked the US for its "constructive cooperation" after US President Donald Trump earlier posted on his Truth Social Platform saying Ukraine's leadership "EXPRESSED ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS," referring to his plan to end the nearly four-year conflict.
