"It makes no sense to have a war now", says Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva about the US military build-up near Venezuela, fearing a conflict during a press conference in Johannesburg. Washington's designation of an alleged Venezuelan cartel as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) takes effect on Monday, opening the door to new forms of US pressure on President Nicolas Maduro.
