Description
QR codes are on display at vendor stalls in Islamabad as the weekly market pushes to become completely cashless. The initiative is part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's vision for a digital Pakistan. “It is convenient for us and benefits the public because people sometimes don’t have cash on them. Online payments resolve this issue immediately," says one vendor, while another worries about the patchy internet. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
