June 9, 2008 - discovery of Travis Alexander's body followed by Arias's arrest
July 9, 2008, Arias was indicted by a grand jury in Maricopa County, Arizona for the first-degree murder of Alexander.
January 2013 court case begins
May 8, 2013, after 15 hours of deliberation, Arias was found guilty of first-degree murder.
April 13 2015, Stephens sentenced Arias to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole
