An osteopath tried in Strasbourg for rape and sexual assault against 29 female patients has been sentenced to 17 years in prison. The judges notably took into account the "serial nature of the offences" of which 37-year-old Pierre Garitte was accused. The practitioner faced charges of rapes committed against six patients, now aged between 30 and 83, sexual assaults against 21, and both rape and sexual assault against two further patients.
