About David
The 2013 season saw David Oliver regain his status as the top 100m hurdler in the world. Oliver finished second at the USA Outdoor Championships and claimed his first world outdoor championship at the IAAF Championships in Moscow with a time of 13.00. Oliver placed fifth at the 2012 Olympic Trials and was the fourth fastest outdoor in the world. This was after battling through injuries in 2011. But 2010 proved to be a spectacular season for Oliver. He twice established the American record in the 110m hurdles en route to going undefeated outdoors. He first tied Dominique Arnold's record of 12.90 before taking sole possession of the mark at 12.89. By the time the 2010 season came to a close, Oliver was unbeaten in 15 finals races and held the top five times and eight of the top nine times in the world. It was also his last fully healthy season. Oliver was a two-time NCAA All-American in track & field at Howard University. Also a football player at Howard, Oliver graduated with a BBA in marketing in the fall of 2004. His mother was a 400m hurdler at the University of Colorado. Oliver is a huge fan of European soccer and has one son, Dawson.
