Description
A body found in west Houston has been identified as missing 14-year-old Adriana Coronado, according to the Houston Police Department.
The body was found in the 11100 block of Mayfield Road in west Houston around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Coronado’s body was identified by her fingerprints by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences on Friday.
Homicide officers were called out to the scene of a woman’s decomposed body lying near a roadway.
Coronado was last seen in Walker County last weekend. Her father, Cesar, was found shot and burned in a rural field in Walker County. His car was later found burned and abandoned in Conroe. Detectives believe Adriana was with him when he died.
The Walker County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video Thursday that shows a Ford F-150 crew cab drive near Enterprise Row and Interstate 45 in Conroe around 10:20 p.m. Sunday. Six minutes after the truck drives off screen, a fire starts and a person can been seen running to a nearby alley. The sheriff’s office believes the man, who investigators are calling a person of interest, escaped in a dark-colored SUV.
"It's going to take an individual that is familiar and knows this suspect," said Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae. "We need them to pay close attention to the body, build, the way they're dressed."
The Walker County Sheriff's Office is searching for a person of interest in connection to missing 14-year-old Adriana Coronado and the murder of her father Cesar Coronado.
