Dan MacEachen {mack-*each-en} was arraigned in Pitkin County yesterday on eight counts of animal cruelty.
He's accused of failing to feed and provide veterinary care for some of his dogs at Krabloonik {krah-*blue-nick}.
A report filed last month led to inspectors seizing eight dogs and prosecutors filing charges.
Yesterday, MacEachen had no comment at his first court appearance.
He told 9Wants to Know he loves his animals, and doesn't blame his critics.
