Description
Susie Hernandez case, a 1997 kidnapping, sexual assault, and attempted murder. Ms. Hernandez, her mother, Debbie Ortego – and both interviews they’d given to KUSA-9News in the days/weeks following the attack.
The original attack took place the night of June 13-14, 1997. Susie was abducted in Denver and found near the South Platte River. I believe her mother, Debbie, gave her first interview in the days immediately after. This interview may have taken place on Decatur Street in Denver.
Susie’s interview may have taken place several days later – or in the weeks following the attack (June/July 1997). She was a 15 year old minor at the time and I don’t believe her face was shown in the interview
