5 months of movement, summer to winter freeze, at Iceberg Lake and Bow Glacier - the source of the Bow River in Banff National Park. This 5 month time-lapse was captured prior to the 2013 Bow River flooding of Calgary. This was captured on a custom built D-SLR solar-powered camera rig. Iceberg Lake is rarely visited. It's especially tough to access during the winter months when a much longer ski mountaineering route is required for access. During the summer, one can gain access via an unmarked scramble along the 2 prominent moraines that lead to the receding foot of Bow Glacier. We recommend chopping this clip up to best fit your edit needs. For added flexibility some bad weather days are included. Time-remapping the sequence is also a plus.
